Information Letter no. 07/2006

Dear Member Federations,

after an information visit to the city of Izmir we would like to give you some informations to avoid problems in connection with our congress and the European Championships in july of this year.

1. Most of you who have been in Taebaek City received a folder from the president of the Turkish Fencing Federation, Mr. Erol Bülbül, which included all necessary informations. If not, you will find on our website www.eurofencing.info the necessary details.

2. The DEKON Company, who is in charge of arranging all transport and accommodation asks again to provide them with the needed details for your trip to Izmir. Hotels are difficult to get in the summer period of july and this company needs urgently your cooperation in this matter.

3. You should inform them about your needs for hotel rooms and transport-tation from and back to the airport Izmir in order to guarantee you the demanded rooms in your selected price category and the bus transfers.

4. Very important is the information about your arrival, as most fencers come with big luggage and appropriate buses and mini vans have to be organised.

5. Federations who need a visa to Turkey should ask the organisers if they have to obtain this from a consulate or if they can buy it at the arrival at the airport in Istanbul or Izmir, normally they are cheap at the airport. A passport is required for entering the country.
