Information Letter no. 17-2007

Dear Member Federations,

the Extraordinary Congress in Gent on 30.06.2007 has not accepted the proposal for new statutes. As a matter of fact, the congress voted to give a new mandate to the Statutes Working Group to recheck the proposals and bring them up to a final version, having taken account of comments from all federations.

The working group should present until the World Championships in St. Petersburg the new final version which should be voted on at another Extraordinary Congress in Prag during the 2007 European Junior Championships.

We invite all federations to carefully read again the most recent version presented in Gent, and send in their comments until 20.07.2007.

We also remind you that many of you had indicated already in Poznan to deliver their comments to us – unfortunately we only received from two federations some feedback.

The importance of having new statutes was confirmed at the Gent Congress.
