Dear Member Federations,

the Extraordinary Congress in Gent on 30.06.2007 has accepted the proposition of the Executive Committee and the Competition Commission to organise from 2008 on European Championships for fencers less than 23 years of age. The Competition Commission at their meeting on 1^st July 2007 also discussed this issue and proposed as

date to organise this event the month of May 2008, preferably in the second weekend.

The formula for this new championship is the one of the junior championships - but only as an individual one.

30.09.2007

is the deadline for candidacies, and in case you are interested to organise this new event, please send your application to the EFC/CEE Secretariate with details of date and place of the organising city to our email: secretariate@eurofencing.info).
