Information Letter no. 01-2007

Dear Member Federations,

as a follow-p to our information letter no. 29-2006 I want to inform you about a few more details for the 1st European Cadet Championships 2007 in Novi Sad (SRB).

After a visit to the installations the organisers are getting ready with their preparations and will do their best to be an excellent host to all European participants.

A website is prepared which you can find both on our website and on the following website:

www.epkadetmac.org.yu

An official letter from the Serbian Fencing Federation will be sent to you in due time with some more informations.

Following many questions we want to inform you that the deadline for registering your fencers and officials is the 1st March 2007. A schedule was sent to you already with our last information letter, and here you find it once more:

06.03.2007 Arrival of delegations, weapon control, meetings

07.03.2007 Men’s foil, women’s épée – Individual

08.03.2007 Men’s épée, women’s sabre – Individual

09.03.2007 Men’s sabre, women’s foil – Individual

10.03.2007 Men’s foil, women’s épée, women’s sabre – Team

11.03.2007 Men’s épée, women’s foil, men’s sabre – Team

Each delegation can bring 4 fencers per weapon. Referees have to be with the teams according the following rule: 1 or 2 fencers = no referee; 3 to 5 fencers = 1 referee; 6 and more fencers = 2 referees. Federations who will not apply to this rule have to pay 500 € (EUR) for each referee missing!

If you intend to come by bus or car, there is a good connection by highway to Belgrade and Novi Sad, but you must pay for using the Autobahn. Also if you decide to go by train, there is the Hotel NOVI  SAD just across the main railway and bus station.

Please bring your correct national flag and anthem with you to avoid disagreements.

Security is absolutely guaranteed by the organisers.

If your federation needs a visa to go to Serbia, please check with your local consulate or government to be able to ask for this visa in time. But most of the European countries do not need one.

If you still need more information, please contact the person in charge for all matters in connection with the championships: Mr. Vasilije Milnovic at his email address:

epkadetmac@yahoo.com

We hope to see many federations in Novi Sad.

With my best regards,

Max W.F. Geuter
