Information Letter no. 21-2006

Dear Member Federations,

with reference to the EFC/CEE Congress in Izmir, where it was decided to

organise in the future an European Cadet event, which was awarded to the

Fencing Federation of Serbia, the Competition Commission afterwards

discussed this in their meeting. It was proposed to forward a request to all

European federations and ask for their comments. A possible date would be

in the month of march 2007.

Would you prefer to call this event “European Cadet Championship” or

rather “European Cadet Criterium”? Most verbal comments so far pleaded

for the title “Championship” in order to get financial support from their

governments.

A second question is whether you would also be in favour of a team event.

To get some urgently needed information, please send your comments within

about the result.
