Information Letter no. 16-2008
Dear Member Federations,
We just came back from the first European Championships U23 in Monza and can say that this first edition was a success. 31 federations with a total of 281 fencers have participated and had witnessed a big event. And for many fencers it was a big chance to demonstrate their abilities – maybe to move on for their national team in the years ahead.
At the July Congress in Kiev we want to decide about the organisers for the next championships and therefore ask all interested parties, to send in their application for the coming year and thereafter. One federation has already informed us that they are ready to hold the event in 2009.
Please send us your candidacy until the end of this month. The date for this championship remains for the time being in the same period. A final date will be proposed in a few weeks by the EFC/CEE Competition Commission.
