Klagenfurt once again showed its capacity to organise high level fencing competitions. During the last weekend the city welcomed almost 250 young epee fencers from 22 countries in city fair hall No.1. The participants were unanimous about the opinion that this venue would be ideal for the organisation of both, European and World cadets and juniors Championships, which require large spaces equipped by relevant number of pistes. All this was available in Klagenfurt, allowing excellent installations, big comfort for the public and fencers including sufficient place for warming up and competitions in the way "all in one". The photos show that also competition management had perfect view of all 23 pistes situated in one hall. Now it is up to that enthusiastic and very competent people around Werner Puchacher and Karl Robatsch to reconsider their possible candidature for the organisation of future high level fencing tournaments in Klagenfurt.
