Bratislava registered new record of participants at traditional FIE JWC Tournament "XXXVI Memorial de Ferdinand de Martinego" where at the end "only" 672 fencers from 36 countries stepped on the pistes in men´s and women´s foil and epee. Besides sport performance also fair play behaviour of young fencers was observed and one of them, Jusuf BOJTE (TUR) received plaque of National Olympic Committee of Slovakia for rejecting awarded point for hit out of oponent targit in men´s epee competition. FIE used the opportunity of having 4 competitions on the same date and same place for carrying out the examinations of candidates for FIE referees licences.
