Metaxia holds degrees from the Universities of Athens and Southampton. She’s an engineer in transportation and environmental studies. From 1990 she was member of the Greek national team in epee. She’s Vice-President of the Hellenic Fencing Federation she’s and the Mediterranean confederation. She’s chairing the women and sports council of the EFC.
