Strong continental performances across Nuremberg, Grenoble, and Grunwald
Nuremberg – Cadet Circuit Foil
The Cadet Foil Circuit in Nuremberg brought high international intensity, with athletes from Europe facing strong competitors from overseas. In the men’s individual event the day was dominated by Ziyu Wang, who claimed victory for the United States ahead of China’s Youlong Lin, while Sage Rasmussen and Lucas Senic completed an all-American semifinal line-up.
European teams, however, made their presence felt in the team competition, where France delivered a confident and cohesive performance to take the gold ahead of two squads from the United States.

Grenoble – Cadet Circuit Épée
Grenoble once again confirmed its reputation as one of the strongest épée stages of the cadet season, with European athletes shining across all events.
Men’s Individual
France celebrated a home victory as Lucien Leblanc-Morel took gold after a highly controlled final, while Germany’s Sonnwin Huidi Franz secured silver. The podium was completed by France’s Hiroaki Toto and Greece’s Antonios Achilleas Antoniou, underlining the depth of European épée talent.
Women’s Individual
Charlotte Loue added another gold for France with a precise and confident display. Stephanie Boehm of Austria took silver, followed by Anna Suenderhauf of Germany and Switzerland’s Szonja Paku Nemeth, ensuring a fully European top four.
Men’s Team
Belgium delivered one of the most convincing performances of the weekend, taking the gold thanks to the collective strength of Arthur Bonne, Theodore Dos Santos Ferreira, Ulysse Marlière and Wout Van Laecke. France finished second after a strong run led by Loan Chapoulie, Lucien Leblanc-Morel, Lilian Pilon and Hiroaki Toto, while Switzerland claimed bronze with Juri Heer, Nathan Ranzoni, Louis Regnat and Arthur Stolz.
Women’s Team
Switzerland dominated the women’s event, claiming the title with Anna Lionello, Sarah Mihalache, Szonja Paku Nemeth and Dana Rezzonico. Germany followed with a determined performance from Lilian-Fabienne Kolditz, Anni Minhorst, Antonia Petrovici and Kristina Schwahn, while France secured bronze through Amaia Baraton, Faustine Gaspard, Charlotte Loue and Laura Verges.

Grunwald – U23 Sabre Circuit
Grunwald hosted a dynamic and fast-paced U23 sabre weekend, marked by strong European performances in both categories.
Men’s Individual
Italy led the men’s field with exceptional depth, as Lupo Giorgio Giovanni Veccia Scavalli took gold and was joined on the podium by teammates Salvatore Lazzaro and Davide Cicchetti. Germany’s Philipp-Bernd Methner broke the Italian dominance with a silver medal after a sharp and spirited final.
Women’s Individual
Germany completed a remarkable sweep in the women’s event, with Felice Herbon taking gold ahead of Marisa Victoria Kurzawa. Austria’s Frida Corn earned bronze along with Italy’s Alessandra Nicolai, confirming a balanced and competitive European podium.
