Strong Performances Across Copenhagen, Ljubljana, and Oslo Close the Month of November
Copenhagen – Cadet Circuit Épée
The final November weekend began with outstanding cadet performances in the Danish capital, where athletes from across Europe delivered high-quality fencing in both individual and team events.
In the men’s individual épée, Belgium’s Wout Van Laecke claimed victory after a decisive final against Estonia’s Bogdan Kolomijec, while Egon Koij from Sweden and Filippo Kieran Rouse from Italy completed the podium.
The women’s individual event saw Lithuania’s Beatrice Zilionyte take the top step, followed by Agnese De Caprio of Italy, with Johanna Kurtinecz of Romania and Estonia’s Maria Vares sharing third place.
The men’s team competition was dominated by France, as Loan Chapoulie, Thomas Cuadrado, Lucien Leblanc-Morel and Hiroaki Toto secured gold with consistent fencing throughout the day. Estonia celebrated two podiums: Estonia 2 — Rico-Janree Ojamu, Kristian Nuut, Mikael Olaf Murumaa and Nikita Romanenkov — finished with silver, while Estonia 1 — Kristo Kaus, Bogdan Kolomijec, Nikita Jarts and Georgi Romanko — took bronze.
In the women’s team event, Türkiye delivered a confident gold thanks to Yagmur Yurttas, Zulal Can, Nil Aksan and Eda Ustabay. Romania’s squad — Bianca Raicu, Jazmin Ilyes, Johanna and Julia Kurtinecz — earned silver, while Italy 2 with Agnese De Caprio, Anita Negroni and Sara Longoni completed the podium.

Ljubljana – U14 European Circuit
The Slovenian capital welcomed the youngest competitors of the weekend, offering an inspiring stage for early-career athletes to test their skills internationally.
In U14 men’s foil, Rares Popescu of Romania secured gold ahead of Georgia’s Lazare Chitadze, with Germany’s Caspar Melita and the Czech Republic’s Vit Chmela both reaching third place.
The women’s foil event saw another victory for ACS Floreta Timisoara through Giulia Levrone, while Great Britain’s Aleksandra Pensa earned silver. Allegra Brugnera from Italy and Laura Vladic Reis of Croatia completed the medal places.
In U14 men’s épée, Italy’s Martino Dal Cengio triumphed in a competitive tableau, finishing ahead of Hungary’s Gergely Kardos, with Germany’s Atai Hecht and Romania’s Andrei Stoica sharing bronze.
The women’s épée competition was won by Germany’s Leah Hofmann after a steady day of fencing, followed by Croatia’s Rita Foretic, while Iva Vukovic and Tia Karabasic — both from Croatian clubs — took the two bronze medals.

Oslo – U23 Circuit Épée
Norway closed the weekend with a high-level U23 stage, where transitioning junior and senior athletes put on an impressive display of maturity and ambition.
In the men’s individual épée, Estonia showcased remarkable depth, with Valentin Altunin taking gold and Kasper Tafenau earning bronze. Finland’s Kerkko Jaervi claimed silver, while Switzerland’s Niccolo Cherubini shared the third step.
The women’s individual event brought another victory for Estonia thanks to Julia Trynova, who fenced confidently throughout the day. Norway’s Ada Sofie Gildernes delighted the home crowd with a silver medal, while Dinara Anis of Estonia and Lithuania’s Lurde Grabovskyte completed the podium.
Norway dominated the men’s team event, securing both gold and silver, while Finland finished with bronze.
In the women’s team épée, Norway once again took gold, Lithuania secured silver, and Great Britain 1 reached the podium with a solid bronze — an encouraging sign for British fencing.
