Celebrating European Success Across Tournaments
This weekend, European fencing delivered thrilling performances and unforgettable moments. From the Cadet Circuit to senior-level World Cups, european fencers from various age groups and disciplines showcased their skills and determination, earning accolades and inspiring fans around the globe.
Cadet Circuit Cabries: Foil Talents in Action
Cabries brought together young foil fencers from around the world, delivering intense battles in both individual and team events. Aiden Siu from the USA claimed gold in the men's individual competition, defeating Marco Panazzolo of Italy in the final. Jayden Hooshi and Luao Yang, both representing the USA, shared bronze. In the women’s individual competition, Lavender Lee triumphed with gold, while Rebecca Cho secured silver, both fencers hailing from the USA. Caterina Fedeli from Italy and Anice Orvananos of the USA took bronze.
The team competitions were just as captivating. In the men's event, the USA 1 team, led by Jayden Hooshi, Riccardo Sisinni, Luao Yang, and Biaya Kialeuka-Tiya, secured gold, with Japan 1 earning silver and USA 3 taking bronze. For the women, the USA 1 team, including Lavender Lee, Rebecca Cho, Gabrielle Gebala, and Joy Zhaoyi Liu, took gold, followed by USA 2 and USA 3 in silver and bronze positions, respectively.

Cadet Circuit Eislingen: Sabre Showdown
Eislingen became the arena for exceptional sabre fencing. In the men’s individual category, Italy’s Leonardo Reale clinched gold, with Christopher Guffey of the USA earning silver. Matteo Casavecchia and Davide Vivaldi, both from Italy, shared bronze. The women’s individual event saw Natalie Tsui taking gold, followed by her compatriot Isabel Schmidt with silver, both representing the USA. Brynnley McKee (USA) and Cisanne Herbon (GER) shared bronze.
In the men's team event, the USA 1 team took gold, with Romania earning silver and USA 2 securing bronze. For the women, the USA 1 team finished first, with Italy taking both second and third places.

U14 European Circuit Craiova: Emerging Epee Talents
Craiova provided a platform for young epeeists to shine. Egypt’s Adham Elsersy claimed gold in the men’s individual competition, defeating Greece’s Dimitrios Kasidiaris in a thrilling final. Bulgaria’s Simeon Serev and Italy’s Chrystian Alejandro Maggiolo earned bronze. In the women’s category, Radostina Kurtakova of Bulgaria captured gold, while Anastasia Mihalcescu of Romania secured silver. Bulgaria’s Elena Nikol Ivanova and Romania’s Ioana Pirvu rounded out the podium.

U23 European Circuit Luxembourg: A Display of Excellence
Luxembourg showcased the skills of U23 and senior epeeists. Nicolo' Del Contrasto of Italy won gold in the men’s competition, narrowly edging out compatriot Marco Paganelli. Bas Verwijlen of the Netherlands and Fabrizio Cuomo of Italy shared bronze. For the women, Gaia Caforio from Italy delivered a commanding performance to take gold, while Veronika Bieleszova of the Czech Republic earned silver. Italians Carola Maccagno and Lucrezia Paulis completed the podium with bronze medals.

Senior World Cups and Grand Prix: Celebrating European Success
The European fencing community proudly celebrates the incredible achievements of our athletes on the international stage.
Grand Prix Orléans – Men's Sabre
At the Grand Prix in Orléans, France, Jean-Philippe Patrice, a bronze medalist from the Paris Olympics, delivered a stellar performance to claim gold in the men’s sabre individual category.

Coupe du Monde Takasaki – Men's Foil
In Takasaki, Japan, Italy’s Alessio Foconi, a silver medalist from the Tokyo Olympics, showcased his enduring excellence by winning gold in the men’s foil individual competition. The Italian men’s foil team continued the success by capturing the team gold medal.

Meanwhile, in Busan, Korea, Elena Tangherlini of Italy triumphed in the women’s foil individual event, further cementing her position as one of Europe’s top foil fencers. The Italian women’s team added to the celebration with a well-deserved gold medal in the team event.
