GROWING ESPOO FENCING CHALLENGE GATHERED YOUNG EPEE FENCERS FROM 30 COUNTRIES TO FINLAND

The fourth edition of Espoo Fencing Challenge, EFC´s U17 epee Cadet Circuit (individual and team) and International U14 Circuit was held25.-26.1.2020 in Espoo Finland, just less than 20 kilometers outside the center of the capital city Helsinki. 
EFC´s  Referee Delegate Matthias Henkelmann (GER) was warmly welcomed for the second year in a row. Among the referees there was a nice mix of experienced and new young referees. 
Sophie Chavigny from France and Hidemasa Sakato from Japan won the individual U17 titels. In Sunday´s team event Japan and Estoniafenced for gold. In U14 competition gold for Turkey and Russia.
The competition hotel next to venue (50m) and the smooth running of the competition according to schedule are the fact highly appreciated by the delegations who attend the Espoo competition.
