Preview of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games

As the 2024 Summer Olympics approach, the European Fencing Confederation is thrilled to preview the fencing competitions that will take place in the heart of Paris at the iconic Grand Palais. From July 27 to August 4, 2024, this historic venue will host a spectacular showcase of skill, strategy, and athleticism, featuring 212 fencers from 53 countries, including 106 men and 106 women. These athletes will compete across 12 events, vying for gold in men's and women's individual and team competitions in foil, épée, and sabre.
This year's Olympic fencing events promise to be especially exciting, as they will feature all three weapons for both men and women in both individual and team formats. The diverse roster includes some of the world's top fencing talent, with a strong representation from European countries, which have a rich history and tradition in the sport.
The fencing events will kick off with the Opening Ceremony on July 26, followed by nine days of intense competition. The Grand Palais, a symbol of French culture and architecture, will serve as the perfect backdrop for this prestigious event, combining history with high-level sportsmanship.
