Four international events set to inspire Europe’s young fencers

Nuremberg – Cadet Circuit Foil

This weekend, the Cadet Foil Circuit arrives in Nuremberg, bringing together the most promising male and female foilists from across Europe. Over two days, athletes will compete in both individual and team formats, aiming to demonstrate precision, creativity, and tactical maturity at one of the season’s key early-winter events. Nuremberg has traditionally offered an atmosphere that challenges young fencers to step forward and make their mark — and expectations are high once again.


Grenoble – Cadet Circuit Épée

Épée talents will gather in Grenoble, where cadet fencers will take part in a full programme of individual and team competitions. This event is known for its intensity, with athletes often using Grenoble as a strategic preparation stage for major winter World Cups. The blend of French fencing tradition and international participation promises two days of action marked by technical discipline and strategic clarity.

Belgrade – U14 European Circuit

Belgrade welcomes the youngest competitors of the weekend as U14 foil and épée fencers meet for two days of individual events. For many athletes, this tournament represents an exciting stepping stone towards future Cadet Circuits, offering the chance to gain invaluable experience and confidence on an international stage. The Serbian capital adds its characteristic warmth and hospitality, creating a welcoming environment for emerging European talents.
 


Grunwald – U23 Sabre Circuit

Germany will also host the U23 Sabre Circuit in Grunwald, where senior-level speed meets youthful ambition. Both men’s and women’s events include individual and team formats, making this competition a significant benchmark for athletes transitioning from junior to elite fencing. Grunwald is expected to deliver fast, dynamic, and high-pressure matches — a true test of maturity and resilience for U23 sabreurs.
