The European Youth Fencing Festival commenced with great fervor in Budapest today, marking a historic moment for the sport. This groundbreaking event has brought together young fencing talents from across Europe for two days of exhilarating competition, showcasing the remarkable skills and dedication of the next generation of fencers.

The opening day featured intense competitions in three categories: Women's Epée, Women's Foil, and Men's Sabre. Young athletes displayed exceptional skill and determination, setting the stage for a memorable festival.

In the U14 Women's Epée, Ariana Covaci from Romania emerged victorious, demonstrating impressive prowess and precision. She was closely followed by Erzsébet Süveg from Hungary, who secured the second position. The third-place honors were shared by Magdalena Cika of Serbia and Larysa Bohdan from Ukraine.

The U14 Women's Foil saw Zofia Kociubinska of Poland claim the top spot, showcasing her finesse and tactical acumen. Italy's Olivia Baroffio took the silver, while Ada Kufeciler from Turkey and Hungary's Regina Meszoly both earned bronze medals.

The U14 Men's Sabre competition was a thrilling spectacle, with Hungary's own Lorant Farsang clinching the gold medal in front of a home crowd. Ziya Arda Osmanagaoglu from Turkey secured the silver, and the bronze medals were awarded to Alejandro Florez de Vargas from Spain and Domonkos Boday of Hungary.
